In June 2002, I flew to Germany to bring home an exquisite boy called Gabriel vom Salzbachtal. Mrs. Alva Uddin, then President of FIFe, awarded Gabriel the Best in Show, Kitten award when he was only 5 months old. She was most impressed with his good looks and sweet temperament.
Gabriel's father, Erasmus vom Salzbachtal is now a European Champion and was the best Russian Blue in Germany (1DEKZV) in 2002 and 8th best champion allbreed cat
The good work of the Brightlight Cattery is being carried on by Gabriel and Werba's son, CH Brightlight's Bravissimo Ben Tzion born in March 2003.
Bravissimo has made show history in Israel twice. He was the first Russian Blue to become BEST OF BEST 2 (2nd place) in 2004. He surpassed that great achievement by being BEST OF BEST at a WCF show in March, 2005. (For those not familiar with European titles, this means he was judged to be the best cat at the show). Needless to say, I am a very proud momma, especially since he is a boy of my own breeding.
In March, 2005, CFA and TICA registered Mewsblu Sergei Simha of Brightlight, a beautiful new boy from North America joined the Brightlight cattery. In his lines are three cats who were the best Russian Blues in CFA on three different years. He has such marvelous silver tipping and such a light blue coat that he looks like liquid silver.
